Medical Administrative Assistant → Front Office Course Overview
Train for medical billing, scheduling of appointments, and interacting with patients. This program includes extensive instruction in medical terminology, medical office procedures, medical insurance billing, claims reimbursement, various medical-related software for data protection and data transmission, as well as instruction in basic anatomy and physiology.

The healthcare field is growing rapidly and this growth will mean new job opportunities for administrative support in physicians' offices, group practices, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.
Medical administrative assistants have become an important part of the healthcare team, with expanding job responsibilities. As a medical front office administrator, you are often responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, filing records, and purchasing supplies and equipment. Other duties may include patient admissions, and coding and billing. Regardless of the size of the office you work for, you will use computers to enter and access important patient information.
Students completing this course are prepared for front office medical assistant positions in doctors' offices, hospitals, private laboratories, and other medical institutions or facilities requiring a medical background.
Program Length: 26 weeks (Weekday Schedule) 39 Weeks (Weekend Schedule) or 500 Clock Hours (Presented in 4-hour classes 5 nights per week OR in 8-hour classes 2 days per weekend)
