Echocardiogram → Short Length Career Course Overview
An echocardiogram is a non-invasive diagnostic test performed to evaluate the heart's function. While the echocardiogram is being done, both you and your doctor will be able to watch your heart, as it beats, on a small monitor. It is often performed on pediatric cardiac patients.
CIT College of InfoMedical Technology's Echocardiogram program provides hands-on training in various studies of two dimensional, M-mode, Doppler and color Doppler imaging of the normal adult heart. Correlation with other cardiac evaluation methods such as: Physical exams, EKG, Phonocardiology, Exercise stress testing, Stress echocardiography and Thallium testing will be discussed.
Our Echocardiogram program is designed to prepare students for positions as echocardiogram technician in today's healthcare offices, clinics, and facilities. Serveral specialized courses are taught by industry current professionals, giving you an educational advantage.
Program Length: 26 weeks (Weekday Schedule) 32 Weeks (Weekend Schedule) or 500 Clock Hours (Presented in 4-hour classes 5 nights per week OR in 8-hour classes 2 days per weekend)
