The College of Information Technology owns all of the equipment that is utilized to teach its coursework. The ratio of students to equipment
is 1:1 with each student having access to their 'own' Microcomputer during the coursework. The Microcomputers are Pentium III and Pentium 4 CPUs with a 40 GB Hard Drive
and DVD-ROM's. The students also use 19" monitors, a speaker system, and enjoy Internet access. Cisco equipments such as routers, switches, and multilayer switches are also provided for all students to use who is attending CCNA and CCNP programs. Each classroom
has its own overhead projection system, which allows the Instructor to project his computer's screen output to the 50" display screen at 1500 Lumens.
The campus consists of 7,000 square feet approximately. We have a WIA office onsite, three classrooms are located on the first floor; our office administration
and a fourth classroom are on the second floor.
- Three classrooms have approximately 600 square feet of classroom space with ergonomically designed furniture. The fourth classroom
is approximately 400 square feet.
- Each main classroom can comfortably accommodate upto 21 students. The smaller, more intimate classroom can accommodate
upto 12 students.
- Separate testing facilities are available for 2 students during the same testing time period.
- All computers in the classrooms and testing facilities utilize
a DSL connection to the Internet. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity at anytime during regular
campus hours.
A library is maintained for study and reference purposes.
- The general book holding includes textbooks covering all course curriculum, computer hardware, software, and networking
reference books.
- The main focus of the library is to provide addition resources in align with all courses, reading material.
The College of Information Technology is partnered with both Sylvan Prometric® and VUE® to provide Microsoft®
and other vendor certification testing on-site. Also, the CompTIA Group has certified the College for the A+ testing. Two students can take a test at the same time.
